ABOUT HOMESTAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY

Homestead-Miami Speedway is one of the most popular stops on the NASCAR calendar, known for exciting racing and the unmistakable South Florida atmosphere. Located in Homestead, about 30 miles southwest of downtown Miami, this 1.5-mile oval has been a fan favorite since it opened in 1995 and later evolved into the current progressive-banked layout.

The track’s design – with multiple racing grooves, a wide racing surface, and progressive banking in every corner – consistently delivers side-by-side battles and bold passes. With great sightlines throughout the grandstands and space for more than 50,000 spectators, Homestead-Miami Speedway offers a fan-friendly setting and a lively race-day environment.

Each year, the speedway welcomes two key NASCAR Cup Series events. The early-season race brings fast, competitive action to South Florida, while the autumn race is part of the NASCAR Playoffs and often becomes one of the most dramatic weekends of the year.

Away from the track, the Fan Zone adds plenty of off-track entertainment. Visitors can explore sponsor displays, enjoy live music, meet drivers, and try local South Florida food before the engines fire up. The relaxed, coastal atmosphere gives the entire weekend a unique character you won’t find anywhere else on the schedule.

A trip to Homestead-Miami Speedway offers more than just high-speed racing – it combines top-level NASCAR action with the energy, sunshine, and culture of Florida. Whether you’re coming for the early-season event or the high-stakes Playoff race, Homestead always delivers memorable moments.
