ENTERING THE SPEEDWAY

Whether you’re visiting Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time or coming back for another NASCAR weekend, a bit of planning will make your day much easier. Here’s what to expect when it comes to security, tickets, parking, and arrival times for the NASCAR Cup Series race.

Bag check and security

All bags are searched at the gates. Before you leave home, check Homestead-Miami Speedway’s official list of what you can and cannot bring. This includes rules on food, drinks, coolers, and fan items. Anything that doesn’t meet the policy will be taken away and won’t be returned, and restricted items may lead to removal from the venue. Tickets and entry

A valid ticket is required for entry. Buying online is the fastest and simplest option, and tickets for the NASCAR weekend often sell out early — especially the grandstands and premium areas. Make sure you have your tickets ready on your phone before you reach the gate.

Parking options

Race day attracts big crowds, and parking fills up quickly. Free general parking is available on site, but those lots can be a longer walk from the gates. You can also choose paid premium parking, which gets you closer to the entrances. Off-site parking is very limited, and you should follow local signs to avoid fines or towing. Parking lot opening times

On race day, the parking lots usually open several hours before the green flag — typically by mid-morning. Arriving early helps you avoid heavy traffic, get through security faster, and enjoy the pre-race fan activities around the Speedway.
