RULES FOR VISITORS

As with any major NASCAR event, everyone attending the NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway is expected to follow the track’s rules and general guidelines. Security teams will be on-site across the weekend to help maintain a safe, well-managed environment for all spectators.

Prohibited items

To protect fans and ensure the event runs smoothly, various items are not allowed inside the venue. Anything considered a safety hazard, likely to cause disruption, or linked to unauthorised ticket or merchandise sales is forbidden.

All guests will go through mandatory security checks at the entrances. Those who decline inspection may be refused entry without compensation. To avoid delays at the gate, it’s best to familiarise yourself with the Speedway’s official prohibited-items list before travelling. Commonly restricted items include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitiser, and bug spray)
• Bags, coolers, or containers exceeding the permitted size
• Balloons, beach balls, Frisbees, or any similar throwable items
• Bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, and roller skates
• Camera bags and scanner bags (items must fit into an approved bag)
• Chairs that are foldable or collapsible
• Clothing with obscene or inappropriate content
• Confederate flag displays
• Drones or any form of unmanned aerial vehicle
• Dry ice
• Fireworks
• Glass or ceramic items of any kind
• Hard-sided coolers or foam coolers
• Illegal substances
• Laser pointers
• Metal-framed or reinforced seat cushions
• Monopods and tripods, whether collapsible or solid
• Noise-making devices, including air horns
• Pocket knives and other weapons are prohibited under local, state, or federal law.
• Selfie sticks

What you can bring

For a hassle-free NASCAR Cup Series weekend, keep your packing simple and stick to the basics. Bring your phone, a power bank or extra camera batteries, a bit of cash, and your tickets for each day. Adults will need a valid photo ID, and it’s wise to have identification for any children travelling with you. Travelling light also makes the security process quicker, so you can get through the gates faster and spend more time enjoying the racing.

Here is the list of items you are allowed to bring to the venue:

• Alcoholic beverages that are pre-packaged and factory-sealed (no glass containers)
• Bags or backpacks up to a maximum size of 18" x 18" x 14"
• Binoculars, cameras, scanners, and headsets that can be worn around the neck, clipped to a belt, or placed inside an approved bag
• Cigarettes and lighters
• Food and drinks that are commercially sealed and unopened
• Ice
• iPads, tablets, and laptop computers
• Insulated cups up to 64 oz
• Nationality flags mounted on a pencil-sized wooden stick, provided they do not block another spectator’s view.
• Seat cushions without any metal parts
• Service animals
• Soft-sided coolers up to 14" x 14" x 14" (maximum one cooler per guest)
• Sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitiser, and insect repellent (aerosol, liquid, or gel formats)

Smoking policy

Homestead-Miami Speedway maintains a smoke-free environment in all ticketed seating areas. This rule applies to every grandstand seat and reserved spectator section.

Fans who wish to smoke may do so only in designated open-air spaces, including the areas behind ground-level grandstands, outside ground-level hospitality zones, display areas, parking lots, and RV lots.

Electronic cigarettes
E-cigarettes and vapor devices fall under the same policy. Their use is not permitted in any smoke-free area.
